Geological Survey of India, Northern Region, has its Regional Geological Museum at its premises in, GSI Complex, Vasundhara, Sector-E, Aliganj Lucknow-226024 Uttar Pradesh which is regularly maintained and constantly upgraded.
The museum at Lucknow exhibits rare and typical samples of fossil wood, remains of Vertebrates and marine fossils of geological significance. Ideal and copybook samples of Beryl, Phosphorite nodules, Sandstone, Conglomerate and Gneiss of the Himalayan region are displayed amongst the noteworthy exhibits. The museum is frequently visited by the various institutes and different professional organizations.
